About the case
This end-payer case is part of a large group of lawsuits claiming that generic drug manufacturers violated federal and state antitrust and consumer protection laws, causing consumers and health plans to pay more than they should have for certain generic drugs. The consumer claim process covers settlements with Sandoz Inc. and Fougera Pharmaceuticals Inc. and with Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc. and Taro Pharmaceuticals U.S.A., Inc. The settling companies deny liability, and the case continues against other manufacturers.
Consumers in every state except Indiana and Ohio are covered, as are Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Purchases covered by Medicaid are excluded.
